I didn’t expect my last post to get as big as a reaction as it did. After reading all the comments and opinions posted by a few people I realized that there were a few things that needed to be talked about:

  • The sovereignty of God
  • Abortion, War, the poor
  • Money over Morals
  • What should the Church do in this hour
  • Does voting for Obama make me a non-Christian

It is scary on how everyone who posted a comment on my blog are Christian but they all have different views. Over the next few days I will be writing about each one of those points. I will not be writing my opinion on them but rather I will be studying the scripture on each of the topics and using that to write about them. Get ready it’s going to be fun.

If anyone thinks there should be another topic discussed feel free to leave a comment on this post.

Address the ProLife movement and policy. Roe V. Wade and a Right to Life Constitutional amendment are the substance of the movement but the pursuit of these things has done nothing to reduce abortion. Is taking a more diplomatic and tactical approach a better bet? For example, African Americans didn’t become “Real People” until the mid-60′s in this country even though they were freed from slavery in 1863.

Basically would it be in the heart of God to demand an alternative prolife policy that won’t let politicians slide by with “saying” they are prolife.

I think you should discuss slavery I don’t mean to be weird or even advocate slavery in any way but I think people would be surprised to know the scripture says nothing against owning slaves.

The scripture says nothing against owning slaves, but it speaks against the mistreatment of slaves which is what was happening to the African American people. Just like the nation of Isreal under the rule of Pharoah, the Lord hears the cry of those treated unjustly and answers them.

Slavery was not abolished in America because slaves were being mistreated. Slavery was abolished because we decided that no human being has a right to own another human being.

We don’t need to the scriptures to tell us this explicitly. We were able to arrive at that conclusion through reason and natural revelation.

I said to ask about a topic to be discussed. Not to discuss a topic in the comments andy and JJ

You could bring up the sex-trafficking industry (sexual slavery). Slavery is just, if not more, prevalent in America today than before the civil war. While America may have succeeded in creating civil equality for African Americans, we have not yet created spiritual and/or social equality for exploited women and unborn children. Meaning, the root of slavery still beats in Americas chest – the oppression of the weak.
