Has anyone seen the new show “Are you smarter than a 5th grader”? I happened to catch last nights episode and it drove me crazy how stupid some people really are. In the show they ask the contestants grade school question which can range anywhere from 1st-grade math to 5th grade science etc etc.. I knew it was going to be an interesting when the contestant looked a little nervous to answer the question “what color to you get when you mix red and yellow”. Thank goodness she got it right. The next question proved to be a tough one for her “what country shares the largest border with the United States?”. I jumped out of my seat and screamed when her answer was Mexico. Why did she answer the question with Mexico. “Well I hear a lot in the news about border problems in Mexico”. I really don’t know how someone could get that question wrong.
With school systems failing and the majority of college students partying instead of studying is America getting dumber?

probably, my wife is a former teacher and our system is based on exposing kids to topics not helping kids master topics.
and the scarier thing is that most of the rest of the world is getting smarter. it’s that whole increase of knowledge thing that the Word talks about.
