It has come to my attention that some people actually enjoyed my last few post and want me to continue writing them. So I want to know what you think. If you think I need to keep writing on these subjects let me know by commenting on this post.
I wanted to do posts on these subjects because it seemed like a lot of different people had a lot of different views. I was hoping that we could all learn something from each other and come away with a greater understanding on these topics.
If i continue I will be laying out some rules for commenting and responses to comments. Here they are:
- Never comment in your anger
- Don’t mock or judge someones view. If you think its wrong ask them about it. Maybe you could learn something.
- Try and stick to the commenting on the posts subject. Don’t throw a random subject in there.
So there they are the 3 rules I want you to follow. The main one being rule #2. I was happy in my post about abortion when Jason genuinely asked a question about someones view. Unfortunately no one has answered him yet.
Anyway, lets get to it. If you want me to keep writing leave a comment on this post

Well this is part 3 of my maybe 5 part series. The topics I am writing about are:
* The sovereignty of God
* Abortion, War, the poor
* Judgment
* What should the Church do in this hour
* Does voting for Obama make me a non-Christian
Today I am going to write about probably the most controversial subject on the list.Abortion,war,and the poor. This is going to be a hard one for me to write but I am going to try and express my views and the bibles view as best as I can. So lets start on writing about abortion. Here we go:
First of here are my views on abortion-I hate it. I can’t stand it. It is murder and as America we have murdered 50 million babies and counting. It is very wrong and I pray for the ending of abortion everyday. I personally will never vote for a candidate who expresses pro choice views. It is my personal conviction and I will never choose money over my morals. With all that said though other people don’t have the same morals as I do and don’t feel as convicted about abortion as I do and I’m not calling them sinners for thinking/voting that way.
The problem I have is that abortion has been placed in many evangelicals churches as the #1 sin. God views sin as sin from the smallest to the biggest. I do believe that America needs to repent, but not just repenting of killing innocent babies but repenting of all of the sins. I guess my questions to you the reader are:
- When did abortion become the number 1 sin?
- Are there other ways to stop abortion other than just voting a pro-life candidate in?
- What about the life after birth. Should we do more to help people who are in need of help? We are Pro life right? shouldn’t that mean all stages of life?
I see a problem when we put abortion over the main point of the gospel. Jesus said go and tell the world about me. Heal the sick. Raise the dead. I personally will try and be a witness to everyone and try and save every life from spending eternity in hell. I am going to be pro life in everything I do. Helping the poor, helping the oppressed, praying against and trying to find ways to stop abortion. To call me apathetic for not being as hard core about abortion as some people are is not right. I am doing all I can to spread the good news of Christ. Abortion is heavy on my heart but its not the main issue. Saving the world from hell is what I am all about doing. It’s the main point of the bible.
Lets be pro life in all aspects. Lets not forget what the main point of the Gospel was. Also lets not cast away other ideas on how to stop abortion

I promised that I would write about some topics this week and not just give my view but give the Biblical view on them. Those topics are:
* The sovereignty of God
* Abortion, War, the poor
* Judgment
* What should the Church do in this hour
* Does voting for Obama make me a non-Christian
If you are good reader you would have noticed that in my first post of this list I had not put “Judgement” on the list. I did however felt it was needed to express what I thought about God’s Judgment and what the I believe the Bible says about it. WARNING: If you don’t agree with what I say let me know about it. Well here we go:
In the days after the election I began reading prophecies about the judgment that God is going to pour out on America. I read them and thought “Wow God must be an angry person”. If I am Christian and thought that God was angry after reading those judgment messages I can’t imagine what unbelievers would think about God if they read those.
We have to be careful on how we portray God to unbelievers. In Exodus 20 the Israelites were complaining because they had no water to drink. God told Moses to speak to a rock and the water would come forth. Moses went out in front of all of Israel and said “You rebels shall we now bring forth water out of this rock” then he struck it(smote it in some versions, i like the word smote) twice and water came forth. Was it a miracle? Yes. But God wasn’t happy with Moses. Why? Because he portrayed God as an angry God and because of that Moses was not allowed to enter the promise land. Moses acted out and spoke out in his own anger and not in Gods. We cannot portray God as angry when He is not.
I believe there is a Judgement day coming it will be great and terrible. What I want you to understand that I believe that it is a “Day”. There is a punishment for sin but that happens in the end. It’s going to be great for us believers and terrible for the unbelievers. Until then though I think bad things are going to happen because we took on a sinful nature when Adam ate the apple. The rain falls on the just and the unjust. Things are going to get worse before they get better but call that Gods judgment is unnecessary. It’s basically a faithless prophecy because we know things are getting worse.
In the Old Testament the prophets had a doom and message because there was no real sacrifice for sin and they were in the old covenant. Luckily Jesus came and when He died on the cross His blood redeemed us and His grace covers the multitude of sins.
Is abortion wrong? Yes it is very wrong and we will reap what we sow. If you notice it never said you will reap in judgement what we sow. What are we reaping fro killing 50 million babies? Well for one the Bible says children are a reward so we are missing out on 50 million rewards walking around in the United states. Is their blood crying out to God? Yes, but there is a better blood and it is Jesus’ blood. I hate abortion and so does God, but will He in His wrath judge us? I don’t believe so. God is a good God and in the end His wrath will be poured out. Right now though God is holding out His judgment for our sake.
We need to watch how we portray God to the world. They are never going to get saved when they have a picture of an angry judging God that’s ready to punish us when we make mistakes. We need to watch out that we don’t speak things in our own anger and portray them as God’s words

Well election day has come and gone and we now have a new president. Am I happy with who we have as president? No I do not like Obama and most of his policies. It didn’t anger me or surprise me that he was elected in a landslide election. What did anger and surprise though was the fact the Christians started freaking out and saying how they would never call Obama president. At one point during election night I had to check CNN.com to see if we voted God out of heaven. I just want to tell you that God is still on His throne and still in control. He was not shaken and surprised that Obama was elected. I also want to say that He is proud of those who took a stand for the unborn and voted for morals over money. But I don’t think He was happy on how we reacted to Obama being elected. The reactions I heard were not Christ like and to be honest very un-biblical. We are biblicaly called to submit to our leaders and pray for them for guidance. Read Romans 13:1-7. Also I am getting tired of people saying lets just leave America and move to another country. I think that is one of the most selfish things to ever say. Lets just leave America when we think it is going to go down the crapper. I for one am happy to be in America in this time and I want to se revival break out. I thought it was very sad that the people who pray and fast for America wanted to give it up and move somewhere else. Come on! Now is the time more than ever to be commited to America and to pray for its leaders for wisdom and to be glad to be part of history and to live in this great land of America.
